My First Blog :) 4/26/13

Hello :)

Thank you for visiting! My name is Jaci and I am a first time blogger. I started this blog for a few reasons.
1. A very good friend of mine, Kim, started one recently and turned me onto the idea. Kim is starting a journey into weight loss for her health, and for her grandchildren. She is blogging her journey and I feel as though I would like to do the same.

2. Recently, I have made a few life changing decisions. At almost 21 years old, it isn't odd for me to change my mind a lot! I feel as though I Am at a point in life that I may explore many possibilities without necessarily deciding one way or the other, simply to broaden my horizons to find out exactly what direction I want my life to go.

3. One of these decisions is to begin a journey into weight loss. Not only to look good, or have the body I want, or for superficial physical reasons. I have decided to make this journey simply for my health, my self confidence and my future. The light that I see myself in doesn't include me being overweight my entire life!

Now that you know these few things, I would like to explain a little about myself and where I'm coming from. I hope to help each of you gain a little insight and just have an open mind in stepping in the shoes of the life of someone else.

I'm not going to give you some sob story about having a horrible childhood or being overweight all my life or being depressed and unhappy with the way I look and feel, even though some of that is true. Instead, I'm going to explain things in a bit of a more positive note. A note of rising up from the ground, making something of oneself, and being better than you ever imagined you could be.

  1. You go, girl. Loved it. We can encourage each other. I'm doing Weight Watchers because I need accountability and weigh ins are definitely that. Can't wait to read more.

  2. That's awesome! I'm starting zumba when it comes in the mail next week and doing my own diet plan along with the diet suggestions they send me. mostly just counting calories. I've heard good things about weight watchers. good luck! Yes we could help each other out!
